HEAT RECOVERY VENTILATION
A SIMPLE WAY TO FRESHEN THE AIR

Heat recovery ventilation (also known as a heat exchanger, air exchanger or air-to-air exchanger) is a ventilation system that employs a counter-flow heat exchanger between the inbound and outbound air flow. HRV provides fresh air and improved climate control, while also saving energy by reducing the heating (or cooling) requirements.

HRVs can be a stand-alone device that operates independently, or it can be built-in, or added to existing HVAC systems to provide ventilation for a building.

Benefits

Poor indoor air quality is a serious, hidden problem affecting the health of many people, especially children. As building efficiency is improved with insulation and weatherstripping, buildings are intentionally made more air-tight, and consequently less ventilated. Since all buildings require a source of fresh air, the need for HRVs has become obvious.

While opening a window does provide ventilation, the building's heat and humidity will then be lost in the winter and gained in the summer, both of which are undesirable for the indoor climate and for energy efficiency, since the building's HVAC systems must compensate.

HRV system will continuously remove stale air from your home creating a more suitable and healthy place to live. Fresh air will be circulated throughout your home day and night.

Thus HRV technology offers an optimal solution: fresh air, better climate control and energy efficiency.

Two steps to professional HRV system installation:

1. Consultation

Call (416)-739-7777 and schedule a convenient time for you. An authorized service provider will assess your specific needs and make HRV system recommendations. Based upon your HRV system decision, the provider will present a proposal and price quote. After agreement, we will schedule installation.

2. Professional Installation

An authorized service provider will deliver your new unit, install it in your house, and test it for optimum efficiency. They will also review operating instructions with you.
