Modern medical technology allows to bring curative air of seashore resort in Toronto

We all love to spend holidays by the sea, idling on the beach, sipping cold drinks and enjoying a sea breeze. Such holidays raise our spirits and our skin becomes smooth and beautiful. And indeed the holidays spent by the sea rejuvenate and strengthen us due to high salt content in the air.

Unfortunately they are usually brief and we soon get back to hectic lifestyle of dusty cities. This takes a toll on our health, makes us irritable, dries up our skin, and brings back kid's and adult's cough. Several weeks later the past holidays become nothing but a remote memory. If we only could spend time by the seaside more frequently…

What about a seaside resort in Toronto? Think it's impossible? It is possible. This is a reality called Halotherapy. Halotherapy can help to substitute seashore curative air and has both medical and preventive values. The principle is very simple and obvious. The modern medical technology allows creating a special microclimate where air is saturated with dry salt particles. The state-of-the-art, hospital-grade medical equipment controls temperature, humidity, size and the concentrations of dry salt particles in the air thus creating unique and controllable microclimate.

The reason is because seashore curative environment as opposed to lakes and rivers is all about the salt particles in the air; there is no salt in lakes and rivers.

Because Halotherapy technology has ability not only to produce dry salt aerosol particle but also to provide various salt aerosol concentration in the air (depending of particular needs) it allows to get therapeutic benefits much faster as opposed to uncontrolled seashore environment.

Scientists first started to take interest in the healing properties of salt all the way back in the late 18th century. They studied workers of salt mining industry who had never suffered from bronchial or lung diseases due to high salt aerosol content in the mines. Later this technology was implemented in thousands of hospitals, spa and sanatoriums all the way through Europe.

Inhalation of salt aerosol is clinically proven to cleanse respiratory system of human body and speeding up elimination of toxins. A salt aerosol proved to have bactericidal effect cleansing microbial flora of the respiratory tract, slowing down bacterial growth and increasing resistance to respiratory tract diseases. This effect is used to treat asthma, smoker's bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, as well as frequent respiratory tract diseases in children and adults.

Apart from healing respiratory tract, airborne salt particles have beneficial effect on skin and are known for their high cosmetic value. Salt aerosol is a well known decongestant; it reduces inflammation and has antimicrobial effect; increases natural resistance of skin and restores its natural pH balance. Some people even prefer whole body exposure to curative salt aerosol staying in the therapeutic room in their swim-suit.
The benefits of the method are so obvious that it is often used to speed up healing after plastic surgery.

Halotherapy is known as a very relaxing treatment. People sit in the chairs and hear relaxation music at the same time inhale the curative air. The room is decorated as a salt cave. The floor and walls are covered with salt and people feels that they cut off from reality. The environment is so relaxing that most of people fall asleep after 10-15 minutes.
