Availability
The treatment is not covered by provincial, insurance
and hospital formularies.
Four different aerosol concentrations are available
(1, 2.2, 5.5 and 16 mg per cubic meter. Total space of microclimate aerosol
chamber is 100 cubic meters.)
Treatment can be used for children as well as for adults.
Treatment time for adults is 60 minutes and for children is 45 minutes.

Speleotherapy Clinic policies and procedures:
The following rules are applied for your safety and to allow clients to take full advantage of peaceful and relaxing time during Halotherapy sessions.
We ask for you to follow the rules in the Halotherapy treatment room for yours and others comfort, wellbeing and safety:
- Please arrive for your session ten minutes before the scheduled time in order to not to disturb people enjoying their session.
- Do not use any perfumes, creams, lotions or any other substances that may produce a fragrance as they may have an allergic effect on another person.
- Do not bring bags or outdoor wear (coats, etc) into the Halotherapy treatment room. You can lock your belongings in the lockers provided in the change room. Speleotherapy Clinic is not responsible for anything lost or stolen.
- Disposable lab bouffant caps (head covers), shoe covers and gowns are provided and must be worn in the Halotherapy treatment room at all times.
- For hygienic reasons; please, wash your hands and use instant hand sanitizer (available at the clinic) before each Halotherapy session.
- Use the rest room before the session starts.
- Do not allow your children throwing salt, as it may irritate eyes.
- Do not leave your children unattended at any time during your visit.
- Please note that parents are financially responsible under the Act for anything damaged to the clinic’s property by their children.
- Presence of a guardian for children under 12 years of age is required for the duration of a session.
- Maintain verbal silence before, during and after session in the Halotherapy treatment room. Many people like to meditate or sleep.
- No consumption of food or drinks is allowed in the Halotherapy treatment room.
- All electronic devices must be turned off in the Halotherapy treatment room.
- Refrain from bringing your personal items to the Halotherapy treatment room, such as: toys, feeding bottles or other articles of that nature.
- Dear parents please make sure that children do not bring any jewelry as it may get buried in the salt.
- Please, stay in the Halotherapy treatment room for the whole duration of the session.
- Halotherapy treatment room is equipped with security cameras for your comfort and safety.
- Complementary/alternative therapies are not covered by OHIP, but may be covered under extended health care plans.Services are rendered to the client are charged directly to the client.
- Fees are due when services are rendered.
- The time of each appointment is reserved for the client and all appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to the full charge.
